Beef Bourginon

Ingredients

  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 1 Sticks Celery
  • 1 Bottle Red Wine
  • 100g Smoked Bacon
  • 200g Shallots whole
  • 1 sprig Fresh Thyme
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 head Garlic
  • 50g Butter
  • 1 Carrot
  • 175g Mushrooms
  • 750g Beef
  • Fresh Parsley
  • 150ml Beef Stock
  • 1 tbsp Plain Flour

Method

  1. Coat the Beef in the flour and seasoning
  2. Brown the meat with the onions and other Vegetables.
  3. Add the rest of the ingredients and transfer to a casserole.
  4. Cook slowly until the meat is tender.
