Beef Goulash

Ingredients

  • 6 whole Shallots
  • 60ml oil
  • 1 tbsp Paprika
  • 500ml Beef Stock
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Carrot
  • 50g Butter
  • 1 tsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1 Onion
  • 35g Plain Flour
  • 4 large Potatoes
  • 500g Diced Beef
  • 50g Tomato Puree

Method

  1. Roll meat in Paprika and Flour, season well
  2. Seal meat in pan over high heat
  3. Transfer meat to casserole
  4. Fry Onions in Butter
  5. Add Hot Stock Tomato Puree and Bay Leaves
  6. Cook for 1 hour at 200C
  7. Blanch Potatoes and Shallots for 5-10 minutes
  8. Add to Casserole 15 minutes before cooked through.
