Cinnamon and apple French toast
- 2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 60g caster sugar
- 20g butter
- 20ml calvados
- 2 eggs
- 100ml milk
- 2 slices brioche
- 1 apple
Whisk the eggs, milk, half the sugar and a pinch of the cinnamon.
Soak the bread in the egg mixture
Peel and slice the apple.
Mix the cinnamon with the remaing sugar and coat the sliced apple.
Melt the butter in a frying pan and cook the apples until brown.
Fry the bread on each side until brown.
Pour the calvados over the apples and flambe then add to the bread and serve.
